Sounds like you and your kids are going to have a terrific summer! Some of these are very simple and easy so we might just do them all! Thanks for sharing some great ideas! Your family is going to have a fantastic summer! Numbers 17 and 33 are the same. I’ll have to have them think of one more! Love that they made the list.

Fun, easy, and the kids’ favorite things to do! Will definitely use some of these ideas but will have to double up. A few days since we don’t have 100 days of vacation plus we are already a few days into out break. I think what I love most is that most of them are free or very inexpensive. They involve spending time with family.

That says a lot about kids and what they really want from us as parents. I believe you don’t have to spend money to have a good time. Sure it’s fun to do occasionally but I think you’re right the kids cherish the time with us the most! Going to the river as often as we can.

Hubby comes home early from work, we load up a cooler with adult and kid friendly beverages, the tubes, change into our suits and less than 10 minutes later we are in the very chilly Guadalupe River. Canyon Lake is another place we love. Probably put the tent up in the backyard. Great ideas, thank you for sharing! I remember making pet rocks when I was a kid and think my nieces would love to do it too! Yes, the classic pet rock idea never gets old! My girls learned the alphabet quickly and soon begin trying to figure out the words I would paint on them.

Enjoy the sprawling landscape and the sun hitting the crevice in just the right lighting. Electric Daisy Carnival:  From June 22-24, there is a music festival in Las Vegas that is not to be toyed with.

Comic-Con: If the neon lights aren’t your thing, that same weekend Comic-Con is taking place in San Diego! Go on a camping trip: Did you know that there is a rainforest at the Olympic National Park in Washington state? The American Royal: Otherwise known as “The World Series of Barbeque,” it is every Grill Master’s dream come true and hosts one of the largest competitions in the world. Lollapalooza: It has been said by many that Lollapalooza is the “Woodstock of our time. Lake Havi” in Arizona is known for its hot days and even hotter nights. Rent a boat for a week to fully experience the life of a rock star. The Hollywood Cemetery: Every summer the famous landmark, which honors some of Los Angeles’ most notable names, hosts a weekly outdoor event on the Fairbanks Lawn inside the cemetery.

This summer “hang ten” and learn how to surf with an instructor!
